Healing Insecurity
About This Offering
A healthy sense of security is something that should be built during childhood. Unfortunately, most people didn't receive enough of it growing up, which can leave them lacking clarity in certain situations as adults — insecurity tends to keep the brain focused on fear, rather than on recognizing what is actually safe or right. A sense of security is closely tied to this kind of discernment. For example, a child who grows up in a household full of constant conflict never gets the chance to experience a truly secure environment. As an adult, that same person may enter a relationship and still feel unsafe, even with someone who is genuinely right for them. At the same time, they often find themselves drawn to people who reinforce that same sense of insecurity.
